You like the T-Rex bike-trike conversion but can't afford $25,000? Then the new "Spider" is just what you need.

I saw this advertised on several craigslists as a 150 or 180 mph 150cc. machine. I'll bet that ragtop rattles a bit at 150.

Wow, 180 mph, now I want one.

180 mph with a 150cc motor....Guess I'd have to see that it looks as big as a Buick Road Master in the pic.    Undecided

You don't think it will do 150, well huh, the net says so:

If it's on the net it's got to be true.

150 mebby if it falls off mt Evans.  Otherwise 150cc might get 45 mph if you are lucky.

You guys are a bunch of no good na-sayers. You have no faith in Chinese copycat engineering.

I've no doubt the speedometer will read 150.

Okay, this was bugging me, so I started doing some Googling...

Found this slightly more realistic site:

http://www.extremescooters.biz/mdl-spider-150-trike.aspx

Quote:

"The Spider 150 is street legal in all states except California. The 150cc engine can push the Spider with two adults up to 35 MPH with adequate acceleration. The Spider is not intended to drive on highways, it is best described as an in town commuter."

"Max horsepower: 9.5hp/7500(r/min) "

And if you're really bored... Video of one being put together:

SPIDER 150(SL-150T-27)powered by Aeva

And what looks like a test run of one doing a classic "I think I can... I think I can... I think I can..." run...
