Is it me or what!! Generally a during election year I thought we have two parties. Shouldn't the Democrats be battling for position or is Obama the only one on the Democratic ticket.  Seems odd to me or did some how did I miss something. Seems strange to me.

If the current POTUS were on his second (and final term), there would be two parties fighting for a party candidate.  However, the current POTUS is the democratic party choice by default since he can run for a second term.    Personally..... I wish he would just run away.....

the prez was early in flexing his political muscle bragging about a BILLION dollars he will raise in campiagn funds. part of that was to quell any thoughts of his party giving him a primary.

I am not very political, but I don't ever recall it ever being like this. I recall them always battle for position.  May be it is just me but I see.

There's usually not much of a fight for the nomination of a sitting president. But even in this case, there have been some close calls for Obama. Arkansas and West Virginia come to mind:

So...who ran against Regan in the primary for his 2nd term?  Or Bush I?  Or Clinton?  Or Bush II?  I don't know where you've been, but with a rare exception, the sitting president is almost never primaried by his own party.

I say we should start by getting rid of the electoral college and counting individual ballots.

Let the TRUE voice of the people be heard.

set up is right. we were told for more then a year Romney is the only one that could beat Obama.
now with the delegate count more then enough to win the primary we will hear over and over that there is no way he can beat Obama. go figure. the ones telling us this hope that we have no memory of thier deceit.

one reason why i'm 100% for voter ID.  here's an example, my neighbor died last fall, it wouldn't have taken anything for someone to go up and say "i'm so-n-so" then vote in his name.  sure he was 78, but those yahoo's at the voting booths are all volenteers anyway, they don't care.
