A long time ago I made my SO practice heavy braking and steering so as to show her you could in fact make steering corrections under heavy braking. The point was to not just slam on the brakes while screaming OH crap and plow into whatever was the reason for the braking but to drive around it...
I was able to see it in action first hand yesterday morning....I was the one screaming OH crap as she applied HEAVY BRAKES and made an amazing turning move right and then left to avoid a large chevy than pulled out on us..... WHEW!!! My heart was racing and I was shaking.
It is a rare thing that I'm a passenger in any vehicle but yesterday we were on the way to the doctors for a "procedure" and I was on the dope.....I mean I was as F'd up as a frog in a punch bowl....So much so that when I signed in the receptionist asked me if I was drunk and I said yes Mam I am.  Smiley
And when my nice little nurse lady saw me she said Hi to which I replied loudly "Yes I Am"..... My wife told me I was so loud that everyone in the waiting room heard it and cracked up laughing.  2funny
Just so you know...... I WAS NOT LAUGHING WHEN I LEFT. OUCH!!!!!!  Lips Sealed  Lips Sealed
Anywho I gave the SO major pats on the back and was very thankful that our trip to the doc was as planned and not as it could have been....  cooldude

Glad you guys made it to your destination.

Feel better, brother!  Best wishes and good thoughts coming your way.  Looking forward to whenever we can hang again so you and Joe can abuse me and Oss some more.   Grin
