I posted a while back about a click type sound I was hearing in the front end as I would come to a stop. Turns out it wasn’t in the front end, it’s clutch related. It happens as I roll to a stop and pull in the clutch. It makes this sound right as the clutch disengages if and only if the bike is still rolling. No sound or sound is too quiet to hear if the bike is sitting still.

My son’s valk doesn’t make this sound and with the Blue/Grey ride coming up this is making me nervous. I’ve got 4000 miles on the oil so I’ll try changing it tomorrow.

Anyone had this happen to them and what did you do about it?

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

It could be the slave cylinder pin at the back of the engine. Check with Defrgn on how to do it. Looks like a easy job.If not let me know and I'll find the thread on how to do it. Its in the old tech archives.

Found it, or rather them.

The clutch quieted down after changing oil and clutch fluid. Then I discovered I still had an occasional poping sound in the front after all.

I went through alignment/pinch-bolt procedure for the front end. Then I checked the fender mount bolts and discovered one was stripped enough to spin but not enough to fall out. Installed a new slightly longer bolt with a nyloc nut and the sound is gone.

Thanks again for the help.
