Dairyland Insurance. I also just noticed that they have raised my optional equipment coverage from $3,000.00 to $5,0000.00 .

I dropped Dairyland when they wanted to double my rate to increase my optional coverage from 3k to 5k.  May need to check back.

Yes, does pay to shop around every few years that is for sure.

My allstate insurance, believe it or not, is dropping down to $118 per 12 month full coverage except no medical expense coverage.  Was around 150 per year.  First time I think ever cycle or any type of insurance has gone down.

My main insurer, Kentucky Farm Bureau, doesn't offer motorcycle insurance, so I'm sure my rates were higher due to only having one policy with Dairyland.

John,
A 25% drop in rates is substantial in addition to the added coverage is significant and appreciated but, my question is, have you ever had a claim and if so, how'd that work out.  Did a little research, I am not about to suggest this is any indication of how Dairland operates, no company is going to please everyone  but, how a claim is processed and the final results are important.  Again, not a total picture of Dairyland, I'm sure they have some very happy customers.

Really, the only thing I'm pointing out is everyone should do the research and ask questions.   All of my insurance needs with the exception of my Valkyrie is with USAA.  I highly recommend USAA for having reasonable rates and they provide exceptional customer service.  But, USAA will not insure bikes over a certain size, I think that is 750 cc.  So for my Valkyrie, I use Progressive.  I'm not unhappy with Progressive but would definately consider and investigate other options.

Thanks for the heads up, I will check Dairyland out.   cooldude

I have had 2 claims in the past with Dairyland. Once involving a deer and the second time my fault. Both times the claims were handled promptly and to my complete satisfaction. The adjuster even asked about damaged riding gear not present when viewing the bike which I had not even considered.

That speaks volumes for Dairyland.   cooldude
