thank goodness most of us have lives to live and do not desire to stir up trouble posting meaningless threads or even doing  the more meaningless corrections to someone's math.

Thespian, I believe your assessment is valid and I do understand your frustration.

I further believe we are probably as a group pretty evenly divided politically as is the population at large.  It used to be, when a Republican administration was in the White House, it seemed there was a preponderance of liberal political posts.  I've drawn the conclusion that those in opposition to the sitting president tend to be the most vocal.  I guess we'll know for sure next time the wind changes.

Were I to have my way, we would not allow politically volatile posts at all.  They serve no beneficial purpose in this environment.  I, alas, do not cast the deciding vote.

As I said, I understand your frustration, and I am as committed to my political and social views as are you to yours.  I fight my frustration by trying very hard to avoid contributing to the muck.  You'll have to decide how to deal with yours, but attempting to match the volume from the "other side" I don't believe will improve the atmosphere here or your frustration.

Best of luck with your dilemma.

EXACTLY  the trait I dislike most about liberals.. if its not what they like they try to have it banned.. I see it all the time here in the only liberal county in idaho.. the libs moved in to the land of cowboys and hunters and snowmobilers and dirt bike riders and 4 wheelers.. they brought with them their granola and skinny skiis and mountain bikes... and NOW they are trying to have EVERYTHING they dont like to do BANNED.. glad they are outnumbered..

umm central Oregon too. banning more and more land from the fourwheelers. one of them is potentially going to get shot because they like to go in and freak out the deer a week or two before hunting season.
In Oregon they thought it was terrible that you hunt mountain lions with dogs (the ONLY way you'll ever see one hunting) so they got it banned. a year or two later juvenile lions are running through town and the ditzes are screaming bloody murder about 'safety'. uglystupid2 uglystupid2 uglystupid2

its he wolves here in idaho..the huggers had them introduced and i dont mean re introduced.. the indigenous wolf was eradicated several years ago.. then some "GENIUSES" got the canadian grey wolf inroduced in idaho.. a MUCH larger wolf and they are now at about 1000 and have wiped out nearly all the elk and moose.. the huggers did their best with federal lawsuits to not allow hunting of them.. then when the numbers got waaaay out of hand coupled with the fact they are EXTREMLY hard to hunt fish and game now allows for trappin em. now the huggers are reeeeally cryin.. they dont realize that rapping is a result of their hunting ban.. sorry for the hijack

Thanks for the even handedness in your response. I don't feel any frustration exactly, I'm not looking to cause any problem here ether,  just voice a my opinion. That is something I thought was ok to do here. But as you say one side is dominating the conversation currently, and it seams my opinion has not been well received by some. I can live with that. Many of you have a different view of the political landscape, GOOD! When we are all thinking the same thing, then none of us are thinking for our selves.

Right, Left, Red, Blue, we have the right to disagree because we are Americans, and the world followed our example, and now there are free people accross the globe.  cooldude
