State senator herb kohl is retiring!!! That’s great news for democracy since this guy would regularly pump millions of his own money into his reelection campaign. I don't know how many Dems have decided to hang up their hat since 2010, but it's a few. of course a more then a few repubs have done the same thing, some have been gerrymandered out of existence.

Part of Northern WI borders Lake Superior which in turn borders Canada. Thus the need for boats to cross Lake Superior and enter Canada. The piece is not to be taken seriously! The author is drawing a ridiculous comparison between the conditions in WI with those of Cuba or Cambodia. It is progressive humor bemoaning the election loss.
