I'll start out by thanking some folks...Don ( Highbinder ) WOW  Shocked  I heard a couple folks say we had 89 bikes in the ride saturday I also know we had well over 100 motorcycles show-up at the motel...You did a great job getting that many bikes over all those mountains....Ron ( Wolf1910 ) Thanks my friend for helping make this ride a success two years running now. You are the unsung hero of this ride . Just so people know all the " WELCOME VALKYRIE RIDERS " sign's we saw coming into Pocahontas,West Virginia was paid for by Ron and he also set-up the lunch...Tom ( Santa ) who won the 50/50 and donated it all to the Food Pantry so all those nice folks that fed us lunch can help people much less fortunate that ALL that was on this ride.My friend Thom ( ChromeDome ) who rode sweep on this ride Thom has helped me many times ridin' sweep on my rides and in my opinion he is one of the best.Last but not least I'd like to thank everyone that came to this ride what a outstanding group of folk's y'all are what make's a good ride one to always remember. I enjoyed talking and riding with every single one of you  cooldude These first few shots are from friday on the way up.The first picture show's Paul ( Thumper ) who rode into my hometown on thursday to make the ride however him dealing with the cancer that is hitting him very hard right now he could'nt make the ride friday and had to turn and head back home...Please keep Paul in your thoughts and prayers.

We had a great group ride up with us friday and made a stop at Veterans Memorial Overlook .Five in the group are Veterans.
Left to right...Dubsvalk ( Bernie ) Hal ( Hal47 ) Tom ( Santa ) Bruce ( DDT )and my local ridin' bud Paul ( Wimp )....Thank you men for your service  cooldude

Few shot's from the over-look.

We took The Snake Hwy 421 and cut thru the woods to Marion, Va and ground zero. Next picture taken on Hwy 133 at Backbone Rock part of the motorcycle playground and the 489 curves.

I did'nt take many pictures after hitting ground zero because I lost my camera ( I found it later it was right where I left it  crazy2 ). Few shots from the ride saturday Coalwood , WV home of the rocket boys if you've not seen the movie " October Sky " you should buy it,rent it and check it out the white two-story house across the road from our stop here was the home of Homer Hickam.

Thanks again Ron  cooldude

" The Money Shot "  we had all makes and models show-up on this ride with the Valkyrie being 90 % or better ( this is not all the bikes we had some parked to the side in the shade and a few out back as well ) . ....Again to eveyone that made the ride I say " Thank You " you folks are what made this ride one to always remember.

Joe, thanks for the post.  It was a great ride.   Great preparation, great weather, things went smooth, everywhere I looked folks were having fun.  I'm glad to hear that the donations will have that kind of impact.  Generous riders, classy move Santa!  I always knew you were real.   cooldude

It was great to see everyone I met at the Hillbilly ride last year!  What memories I now have of this great ride "back home".  Thanks to everyone for making this a special and memorable event for me!
