Been there a few times, got the shirt and vaguely remember what I did... LOL. Horry County and MB has some issues, and I have not been back there for a few years since shortly after that helmet ordinance BS.
Maybe, just maybe, someone is concerned with air and noise pollution. Burning rubber on asphalt does cause smoke, and at times obnoxious odors as I recall....

Constitutional right to engage in motorcycle burnouts? Cannot help but think of Potter Stewart's dissent: I think this is an uncommonly silly law. . . . But we are not asked in this case to say whether we think this law is unwise, or even asinine. We are asked to hold that it violates the United States Constitution. And that I cannot do.
Griswold v. Connecticut, 381 U.S. 479, 527, 85 S.Ct. 1678, 1705, 14 L.Ed.2d 510 (Stewart, J., dissenting).

If you can get away with naming a bar Suck, Bang, and Blow I would think the city would allow almost anything...

Obviously, the name is taken from the actions of a hydrocarbon fueled recriprecating (or turbine) engine.

I was in Myrtle Beach last week in the semi. Wanted to get a shirt for my girlfriend but couldn't find a place to park the rig. Shirt was from a crab place.
Front said "I got my crabs from Dirty Dicks"
Back said "Dirty Dicks Crab Shack"
She was pretty upset I wasn't able to get the shirt, she's got a good sense of humor.

When you think about how much more your vehicles cost you due to the added expense of federally mandated emission controls, and the increased engineering, production, and testing costs the manufacturers pass on to you to meet emission limits, it seems stupid to me to allow burnouts. IMHO. I'm not a tree hugger by any means, I ride my Valkyrie just to maximize my carbon footprint. I just don't like to waste money. (Unless it on Beer, booze, or women)

Does a H.D. even have enough power to do a burnout? I don't do burnouts because of the expense and hassle of tire replacement. Well, guess I did do a few and a few wheelies back when I was a young wippersnapper.
