Ordinarily I'd say "get a new wife" but then I remembered that you guys recently had a nasty getoff. Can't say I blame her.

Those old CB750's are some nice looking bikes.

My first motorsickle was a '79 750F (Supersport).  First year for the DOHC.  Quite a machine.  I was really sad when it died in a flood.  Cry

+1 jer! The DOHC CB's were/are great machines. I just finished restoring a 83 CB 1000, love it.  coolsmiley

If I ever get to the point and stage of life where I can tackle another rebuild, it will be a CBX, without a doubt.  It is the only bike I have wanted to own as much as my Valkyrie, but never managed to get.

Id have to side with your wife on this even though you are going through withdrawals on motorcycling. She wants you around as do I. Its kind of is a telling pic if you read all your old posts, you also may change your mind.

If you are getting the urge to scratch that itch already, I'd say it is a good thing.  And a wise man once told me, "It is easier to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission."  Evil  But then again, he also said, "If mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy."  Lips Sealed So you are on your own here.  crazy2

Yup, jump.
My first was a 65 160. Twin cylinder Honda. Dad didnt know about it and I rode that sucker to the beach many times. Didnt know about oil and couldnt call dad when it seized hard minutes from the afore mentioned beach. First one Dad knew about was a 71 CB 750. 4" over forks, Harley 16" wheel laced to the Honda hub and an F grind cam. That was a 1/4 mile cam. She was a barnstormer and handled magnificently. 110 mph instantly, and no higher.

It's gonna take a while for mama to get the image of that crash and the previous one out of her head.   I'd guess that you can window shop all you want (and she knows it's just window shopping) but if you buy before she's ready, it will not be pleasant in your castle.

She will probably suppress her fear and give in to your desire to ride in the future, but it's probably too soon and the wounds too fresh to make a move now.

IMHO.

Steve,

I speak with and take pictures of and with MANY secretary candidates, in fact Bonnie takes most of the really good pictures,

You can look without trying them out

If you do sit on a 750 it doesnt mean you have to buy it

But please take pics if you do so we can hold em over your head if need be
