I've thought about getting a set of those risers.  How do you like 'em?  Did they make much of a change?

btw....great lift yo've got there.  Gotta get me one one of these days.

Hey I was wondering about your throttle lock. I bought a vista cruise a couple of weeks ago from a local dealer. It was a spur of the moment purchase just before a weekend trip. I had started to install when I realized that the clamp to the left of the starter switch housing had a wiring harness that looks to be in the way. I haven't looked at it since.I saw your picture and was wondering what you did with harness? It seemed at the time that the wiring prevented getting the clamp close to the switch housing. Thanks.I was out of patience when I looked at mine the first time.

Very nice!

Could you expand some on the Transformer board mounting,, I got a set of
GL1800 stock pass boards ($10 shipped!) and I know I'm going to have to
adapt them to the IS.

...ED

PS: when I do this I'll try to remember to take pics and post it, as the stock
1800 pass boards are available cheap.

How is that antenna working for you?  Is the reception as good or did you loose any range.  I have been thinking of changing mine as well but I keep putting it off.  Which brand is that?

Yes, please say a bit more about the risers. Where did you get them, how much $$, did you have to change any cables or hoses and how tall are you.

Thank You,

Mark

Those riser extensions actually look a lot like the set that broke in half for Daniel Meyer.  Might want to rethink that approach.

On the other hand, there may have been factors in Daniel's riding that you won't encounter.

For my two cents, if I wanted pull back risers I'd go ahead and buy a complete set.

Willow......

How did Daniel's break exactly?  I don't remember who had the riser's (might have been Daniel's) that broke/cracked on the bottom at the angle of the stem and bar holder area, but those were a one piece riser.

These risers are only a 1" extension utilizing the original OEM riser that fits between the oem riser and the handlebar.

I'd hope that we don't have oem risers breaking on the bottom like DM's (or whoever it was) did.

I'm 6' tall with a 33" inseam. The risers are just extensions I found on ebay. work great, make a huge difference. All factory cables and wiring worked. Took about 15 minutes to install. The lift is a real timesaver. Worth every penny. cooldude

The way I oriented the throttle lock clamp the wiring harness goes right around it. The clamp isn't flat against the factory controls.

The passenger boards are straight from Kuryakn's line-I think made for Harley. Found the part numbers by searching on the forum here and looking at the Kuryakn and Dennis Kirk websites. They were around $280. I bought a set of adapters where they would just bolt right on where the factory pegs do but they stuck out too far and only mounted with one bolt making them a little wobbly. I purchased some 1" thick x 2" x 4" billet aluminum and cut it with a jig saw and bored some holes in it. Took the entire stem that attaches to the passenger pegs off and hard mounted my bracket to the factory stamped bracket that connects the frame and holds the pipes up. Works great and only cost $20 after some stainless bolts. Not sure how factory GL1800 boards would do but sure it could be done.

If I got worried about every part or modification somebody had something bad to say about then I wouldn't be riding a motorcycle. Second Interstate I've had with these risers and they work great. I'm not pulling any wheelies or riding supercross on my Valk. uglystupid2

You can roll the lever around toward you to clear the wiring, mine is actually across the kill switch, I can still use it, there is enough room.  Hoser
