There is a ultimate king big boy seat listed on ebay.  Can you use a Utopia back rest with this seat??

Thanks for the quick response.  After looking at the seat I realized it is a king big boy seat which is too tall for me, but I do know now I can use my backrest when I find the right size.

Yes, it fits just like the stock seat. No clearance problems with a standard tank and the Utopia backrest. I don't know about the Interstate tank.

Regardless of what the Ultimate website says, the Big Boy and King Big Boy are the same height. I first bought a Big Boy on CL and absolutely hated that seat. The front comes up so much as to make you (me) sit directly on things I don't want to sit on. I was numb after only 20 miles. At last years Inzane Ultimae was their and Des made me a great deal on the King Big Boy. He even sold my Big Boy set while I was out enjoying a ride. Now, that's a company I'll always be thankful to. I was imediately impressed and absolutely  L  O  V  E  the King Big Boy. The rear seats are the same but the Ultimate backrests are also different. I know you'll asking about the Utopia backrest but I'd encourage you to consider the King Big Boy. Your nether regoin will be fine (and thankful). I found NO difference in the seat height between the Big Boy and the King Big Boy.

All the best,

Mark

There is another complete set of Ultimate seats listed on ebay.  It is a lowboy, which my inseam is 30" but I am over the 190# by quite a bit.  I'd bid on that one but don't want to if I am too fat...

It was me who bought it.  cooldude  Bought a Big Boy last month to replace the stocker on my '99 but I'm not thrilled with it. I have a King on the '97 & love it so that's what I want to have on both of them. It was a good deal for me as a new KBB is $395 plus $28 tax so I saved about $70.
As per usual Kim confiscated the Big Boy to "try" on her '98 then ended up using it instead of the LowRider she has on our Key West trip last month. I swapped the KBB to the '99 for the trip. Cool Soooooo.... she has a decision to make about which one she wants to keep as one of the two will be for sale soon! I'm probably going to get a new riders backrest from Des at Ultimate in Daytona real soon to complete the '99. A good excuse to ride over to Daytona.  Wink

I have a sneaking suspicion that Kim will eventually want a KBB too.  Roll Eyes Never fails! Grin

Good for you, bad for me, the seat looked in good shape.  I have been sort of watching and haven't seen many for sale.  i plan on getting a new one but they list the Ultimat Big Boy for $350 on their web site (without studs)  and I think I am going for the blinker buddy also since i sometimes ride miles with my blinker on.  hope it works out good for you.

I've been watching for one too. I jumped on this one as soon as I saw it, I have 50K on the KBB with the '97 & it still feels good as new. We have had good luck with used seats over the years so I have no reservations about buying it used.  Wink Unless I misread it I saw the KBB listed at $395. Since I would be buying it in Florida there would be tax to pay as well. Looking forward to having 2 Valks set up exactly the same.

I had a King Big Boy  complete set on one of my Interstates and a Diamond Custom set on the other interstate. Both are wonderful seats, but the Diamond is built for your build. Height, weight and your inseam. The Diamond is a less expensive seat, with options like velour inserts.
I am not knocking Ultimate, just offering another option.
Give Mark a call.

Yeh I looked again, KBB is $395, BB is $350.  Oh well, my ass is worth another $45.  2funny
I'm going to keep my eye open another week for a deal and then just get a new one.
