As a rescent convert to the Valkyrie. Rode Yamaha my whole life. And very, very impressed with this machine, in every respect. The sound or lack there of was what seemed a little wierd at first. The Handling is what impressed me the most. Anyways I,ve been doing some Tune-up work(probally un-neccesary) The previous owner took good care of the Machine. He was running on Champions, I put NGK's in. Any suggestions on the best plugs for this Bike improve performance, and possibly milage. I don't think he changed final drive fluid either. Stick with Honda Products?

There are some articles on spark plugs located on the shop talk page ( http://www.valkyrieriders.com/shoptalk/ )

Carl Kulow's simple article will keep you out of trouble.  As far as the proper plugs - I looked up what Honda suggested and went with that.  I have pulled them twice and they look good.  The plugs I removed were one selection hotter.  Someone else may have something to say about what might be best.

Final drive oil is easy.  You can see instructions for that on the Shop Talk page as well.  Any good quality synthetic 75W-90 will work.  I use Mobile and change it around every 10k miles.

Cheers!

NGK IRIDIUM, Mobil One 75w/140, Belray grease for splines and drive shaft, Mobil one 20w/50 Motorcycle oil. Thats what I use and the bike runs strong and you don't pay for over priced Honda oil. The NGK s will give you smoother idle a slight quicker twist to the grip but really none of these will give you anything noticeable as for power gain. coolsmiley
