I had some real issues when i first viewed new site with IE8. had to run in compatibility mode. Come to find out, last 2 or possibly 3 updates have disabled parts of java script and some forms are unavailable to me. I went and DL'd mozilla FF and wow!!!  I can see everything and even the chat works right.Cheesy   anyone else have issues like that?

Yup, IE is junk as far as i am concerned, I could seldom get through a night without it locking up on me for some reason.

I went to Fire Fox and I have had no problems since, and that was 2-3 years ago.

Firefox is so much better than IE.  In the computer engineering field we quit using IE years ago in favor of Mozilla (Firefox)...and only use IE during unit testing to make sure our applications are compatible.

No question Firefox is much better.  Only problem comes when you might need a microsoft product, they require that you be on IE.  Other than that, FIREFOX does the job.

I only use IE when a web site requires it and some do.  IE8 is junk and should never have been distributed.  I tried using it at work and hated it.  I've used Firefox for a long time now and love it.  One note though, if you add a bunch of "add-ons", it will slow down so leave off anything you really don't need.
