All,

I have a Dunlop E3 on the front, no cupping, no wobble, only a little howl in the corners like they all do.. probably have like 12-13k on it

I have less the 1/4 inch in the grooves near the center of the tire...

Have a new tire on order, but want to take a longer trip this weekend... might be 1500 miles...

I have gotten 15k out of a front on a wing, but don't know about a Valk...

Opinions?

I Get a consistant 22-23K on a front E-3.  I wouldnt hesitate to take the trip you describe on that tire on my bike.  However, many different milage results have been posted so, trust your gut....run 40psi

I ran a set of E 3's and got 20,000 + miles out of both front and rear and could have gone farther but like you, I was going on a trip & wanted to be "sure".

I was thinking I would be good, but some other riders saw it and said that it looked thin... I usually figure 15k on a front E3.......

Hell I've run the rears to the cords..... NOT on purpose! But do not want to try it on a front.

I do run 38-40 PSI in the front and 42 in the rear......

I got about 8700 miles out of the E3.  But I'm hard on tires for some reason.  And yes, I run 42psi in them.  Avon Cobras seem to last the longest for me.  The last one I got 10,000 out of and the current one has 10,000 on it now and still looks pretty good.  It might get another 2000, if I were to guess.  That is the most I have ever gotten from a front tire.

I had E3's on her when purchased, rode all summer. About 20K miles when I swapped them out last spring. Front tire wobbled some at speed, they could have gone another 5K I'm sure.

Anything close to a quarter inch is can i say like new.  A 16th still has a lot on it.
