I have a 97 tourer. Smiley

Riding home last night with no headlight... high or low.

This morning I put in a new bulb. while pulling old bulb out noticed filaments looked OK, but new bulb in anyway.

No light. ???

Checked the headlight fuse and all is good there.

Checked harness everything looked OK.

Is there a particular spot on the harness or connectors that you guys/gals have experienced issues with in the past?  I'm looking to save myself a little trouble shooting time Wink

Did you test for power at the fuse ? at the switch ? at the bulb ?

I think that's where the light gets it's power from.
Also as you push the starter switch to crank the bike it kills the headlight at the same time. I'm not exactly sure why but (just guessing here) probably not to rob current from the battery and send more to the starter/coils since these bikes are finicky about starting voltage.
