Anyone else have to leave the c.b squelch at 20. Otherwise get alot of occ. powerline static,  etc.

check the ground on the antenna, and make sure it's plugged ALL the way in.

ok, Stupid ques. but how should ck. for ground? I do lower and raise the ant. often as put cover on at night when traveling, Thanks

Also as mentioned on another topic, Is the C.B. suppressor fac. on the I/S c.b s. Or a added item?

just loosen the base of the antenna,(look under the mount) twist it back and forth a little, tighten it back down.
the antenna plugs into the cb with a (car antenna) type plug. unplug it make sure it's clean.

have NO idea if the suppressor comes with the bike. both I/S's  i've had already had the cb installed. sorry

we are also in a major sun spot cycle, that will put more noise on the radio. Smiley

i'll check my radio tomorrow and see what squelch is needed on mine. cooldude

The answer to your question is yes..  There is an adjustment that can be done to raise the effectiveness of the Squelch. It requires taking the CB apart which is why I have not done it. I thought that I printed it out and saved it but I can't find it...
