Dude . Ol Dude John, (claims 72 but?? whos countin) I m going to help him get his new to him 99 through a final drive service, tire change, basic all fluids possible change , hopefully petcock rebuild air filter, and would like to know if I could get any help . Will do it at my place, have a lift table , and floor lift if any one needs it. How does July 7th  sound ?  I'm in Haslet, about 8 miles south of Texas motor speedway , and 2-3 miles west. It sure would be nice to have the extra mussle and know-how on hand.
Thanks . I'll have Johns bike on the table but ill have room for pretty much anything else anyone might want to do . John plans to go to Eureka Springs ,then onto Florida and I sure would like to help him get road worthy for the summer...Paul.

Planning on the 7th I have basketball summer tournament 13-15th......Sooo7th or bust I guess..

Wrench party cancelled.....as of today .....6-26-12..... Thanks everyone. Ride safe.

cooldude  the 7th it is so far...might be a good time for anyone to do any last few things before EurekaSprings. I'll haul off any fluids as long as you bring a sealable container it will fit in.

I plan to attack Johns bike as hard and heavy as possible but will try to do as much as I,we, can do on anyone's also.

Along with a few Syracuse and Munster hot links on the bbq / beverages /and the concrete pond if you feel frogy , jump in it.

Count me in.

Let's get a detailed list of things to be done to Ol Dude's bike soon so 1) he can have plenty of time to acquire what will be needed, and 2) we can divvy up who's going to do what.

It has to be on the 7th. Saturday morning open to any time. Earlyer the better for beat the heat.
I gave ol Johns bike a look over and need to do the final drive service.
If he decides to go with a ct I will supply the ride to hams tire with the wheel they can mount his tire there quick.
Nut cage mod while its off .
Oil &filter change,
Brake and clutch fluid change
Air filter change.
I asked John to order the cover set for his oem petcock and new tank filter hopefullyhe gets these sincethe tanks coming off. I have not done this , I went with a pingle ,so if anyone's familiar with it please feel free. I think they make good fishing weights personally.
I'm good with doing anything but the oem valve.
I'm out of patchboy valves so I'll get some extras on hand , at least get one intsalled rear.
That' should get him started ?

I have mounted Kury driving lights on my engine guards but need some guidance getting them properly wired.
I have wire, connectors.

Also, would like help installing Stebel horn. Have everything I need except, possibly, a mounting bracket.

I have things to do but plan on doing them at home, leaving the bike down while I take my time on the new voltmeter, brake rotors, etc.  So on the 7th, I will be available to help but plan on nothing being done to my Valk.

What is the start time?

Walt... Thanks and please pass on any new info.
Paul.  Angry Angry

Please keep John in your thoughts.
If anyone still wants to do any wrenching ,let me know .
I'm up here in Trenton Mich. Visiting family this weekend.
The wx is beautiful. Doing the graduation party's thing.
WDAN is the only other one that posted any specific work to do.
If anyone still wants to have it please post.
Or we could do a early morning breakfast ride.

Breakfast ride sounds nice.

Once there is more news about John, there may be a need for a wrench party on his bike, depending on the severity of the damage and the insurance company involved.  And, of course, John's wishes.

Any more news on John?

Disco, I'm not as tech savvy.  I can't get text.  I'm luck I can answer the phone in the normal way.  crazy2  Never got into the texting thing.  I just got back from a non stop run from Kansas City when Paul called me about John's bike.  When you called, I was on my way home coming from John's house.  BTW, Paul, it was great to see ya again.  cooldude
