Spent the last couple days installing the cruise control, got the bike back together. Panel on the cruise lights up, turns on and off. The problem I have is it is connected to the coil that fires, #1 & 2 plugs. Not those cylinders are not firing at all. Really frustrating, have to tear the bike down again to get to the coil. going to unplug the cruise module and see it the plugs start firing. Has any one else had this problem ?

Well found it, dumb luck. The choke/filter that goes to the coil was bad, disconnected it and all 6 are hitting now, and the cruise acts like it is going to work. When I press set it opens the throttle, but drops out as it revs up. Probably will work with a load on it.

glad you found it.  Mine worked fine until I put the back off brake light flasher in line.  A relay solved that, Normand's write up explained how to install the relay.
