VRCC# 3099, 1999 Valk Standard, 2006 Rocket 3

Benton, Arkansas

Anita and I did the 5, 7, 10, 9 circle today which takes about 3 hours.  We stopped at Ola, Arkansas(halfway) for lunch.  There is a nice gas station with a hot lunch and a biker store and junk store next door.  We saw several Boozefighter M/C guys there waiting around killing time.  Nice guys, btw.  Seems they were waiting for someone who would not show.  One of there group went down on Highway 7 in a curve, bloody face, scrapes and bruises.  They had an ambulance take him away.  Nope, no helmet.  Anyway, I got several compliments on the Valk and a few good natured ribs about it sounding like a car.  It was a beautiful day for a ride.  We, also, stopped by Lake Nimrod.  All the lakes in Arkansas are way above normal.  Water is backed up into most of the campgrounds.  Fishing seems to be good, however, and we may go tomorrow.
