Gilligan and Navigator - Wherever we ended up

... sitting quietly sipping on my wine, listening to music and remembering friends ...

This is the second summer that Brian has not stopped in to see us.  I miss talking with him about motorcycling and music.  I also miss his "Musical Selection of the Evening," which he carefully researched.  He expanded my enjoyment of modern, rock bands.  In memory of Brian, here's his favorite artist and my favorite version of one of her best songs.

Thanks Gilligan,

I was just thinking about the music posts Brian use to do almost every night the other day. Just got to meet him one time, but a true class act in my opinion.

Good post. I think of him often and his "Musical Selection of the Evening".

Wasn't this his Signature?

I think I should have no other mortal wants, if I could always have plenty of music. It seems to infuse strength into my limbs and ideas into my brain. Life seems to go on without effort, when I am filled with music.

I sure miss his posts.

Yep, that was it.  Remembering that is quite a compliment to Brian and how he lived his life.  Thanks.

Thanks for posting Gilligan... Brian truly was one of the good guys.

I also miss the musical selection for the evening.  I've been so busy for so many months now (trying to make up for a bad 2011 in my biz) that I sometimes forget that it is good to pause from time to time and remember friends lost and what they mean to your life and the good they brought into the world.

Thanks...

Every time i hear a Stevie Nicks song I think of Brian. I don't think that will ever change. He was one of the good guys. RIP Brian.

I have a PM from him I've never erased and probably never will. His signature is on it.

Rhonda......"Mrs. Old School" read this thread and tried to post something......she said she couldn't get it to post, so she asked me to......

"I tried posting but couldn't. Please let everyone know that Noah and I miss him alot. Noah and Zach still hang out and Thelma and I are very close. WHen I hear Stevie Nicks or Fleetwood Mac I turn up the volume. Brian and Steve are riding together everyday."

I got to spend a little time with Brian a couple of times......and they don't come any better than him....I can remember that he and I were Rhonda and Thelma's "bag toters" in Pigeon Forge once.... cooldude.....it still hurts that he left us way too soon......cause I had looked forward to spending some riding time with him..... I never got on the VRCC board much (until now), but Laser Pat was always on it and read Brian's posts and would often forward them to my email.  I've kept most of them.  It's a great way for me to remember them both when I go back and re-read/listen to them.  Thanks Brian, for touching so many lives.  We will always remember you.
