Has anyone used this or a similar product?  A friend of mine had a flat and had to get his motorcycle towed, I dont want that to happen to me.

Yep using it currently, was a very nice difference in ride quality when I did it. I had only ridden a few miles maybe with out on this set of tires but the bike was smooth as glass 2 up and fully loaded. Sorry can't attest to the quality of its punture sealing characteristics, luckily haven't had a flat yet.... not cheap but I think worth the ride quality. Although my tires were high speed balanced on a spin machine when they were mounted.

RideOn isn't for fixing flats, but when I got a very small (several days to leak down) hole
in my almost-new rear tire, I took off the weights and put in RideOn. I've now worn the tire
almost to the wear-bar, the tire was sealed and it doesn't seem unbalanced. Soon I'll
know how much of a mess is left inside the tire...

Dave, there are a bunch of threads about Ride On.  Just do a search.  Also go to youtube.  There's a few videos on there.  One by Rider magazine, I think, where they test the hell out of it.

I started using it when I put on my last tire.  I really like it.  The bike seems to handle a little differently but in a good way.  Your tires are always balanced and the fact that it seals punctures is great.

That's how my Avon looked Friday night when I changed it out with a new Metzler, and added Ride On.   Too bad you didn't get a picture of that tire after you pulled the screwdriver out.  I just tried Ride On at this change, previous used Dyna Beads (for balance only of course).

I will say I was very impressed with the ride I had yesterday on the bike after I changed the tire and added the Ride On.... No doubt some was attributed to the new tire itself and the addition of Ride On.

I did...it was in the link in the link Smiley

It works. Pulled the awl, rotated the tire, and it sealed right up.

Got my valk end of July last year, and went through a front E3 in 7,000 miles. Got a pin hole in the rear at 8,000 and had to replace it, lots of cuping.  Angry Chose to go with dyna beads in front, ride on in the rear. I figured the front will kick up the debris and the rear will catch it.  Sad  Increased the tire pressure to 41 psi as recommended by the vast majority of members here, and my Avons look dam near new with 4,000 on them. I think if I had the same kind of pin hole in the rear that took out my E3 I wouldent even know it with the ride on in there.  cooldude

And so you did....  I missed that....   And surprised that it sealed with rotating off the bike.  Glad I got that stuff.... especially in the front.   A rear flat is not as severe as a front I would imagine.... I have had a rear go flat while riding, it wasn't fun but manageable even 2 up.

I'll always keep it in my back tire.  I ain't got time for fooling around with flats on the road.

I've been using Ride-On in both front and rear E-3s on my Interstate. Just changing them out now after 18.000 miles. I looked at the wheel and tire when changing, and the Ride-On was still liquid-y. A quick wipe with a rag on the inside of the rim showed little or no residue, and definitely no type of damage (like you get with Slime). Putting it in my new tires tomorrow.
