"You have to admire a healthy tomatillo!"

Glendale, AZ

« on: June 25, 2012, 08:53:29 PM »

Last Saturday, feeling the need to stretch out on the highway, Ron, Tom and I mounted our mighty steeds for a trip UP, which translates to cooler temps.
So I called this: "THE SAME 3 GUYS RIDING A ROUTE WE'VE TAKEN MANY TIMES BEFORE" ride.

                                              Where I wuz!

To beat the heat we left at oh-dark-thirty and saw fellow fun seekers defying gravity.
Please pardon the blurriness, camera wasn't awake yet!

We twisted up the hwy and had breakfast at "The Ranch House" in Yarnell, Az. Then off we went to climb a little higher, Prescott our destination.

Peeples Valley is always a pretty sight!

A little piece of Wilhoit, Az.

OK! I stole this photo idea from Daniel. I have no shame! Cheesy

Much cooler when we started hitting the pines!

Downtown Prescott

Tom had a great idea!

Little Humboldt, Az. had a Trike shop and motorcycle museum! Yay!

Ron and Tom parked in the sun.

Heh heh.

Stunt bike used in "Terminator" Partially cut thru frame to affect major breakage for crash scene.

Rolling beer cooler Grin

6 in a row!

Times 2!

Uno mas.

Down the I-17 sweepers to find - - - - - - - -

                                                           PIE!

Face of toasty fellow on his way home on Saturday afternoon!

But WAIT! Sundays ride awaits!!

                                           Where I wuz (again)

Another sunrise, Sunday version!

My Sis, Robin went along for this ride. We met up with Dave and Shelba, Al and Phyl.
I dub this "The Twenty Cylinder Ride!" ( 1 Wing, 2 Valks and a VTX 1300.

Fueling up, but, you knew that!

                                         BEHOLD MERE MORTALS!

At the Ranch House again with down right weird artichoke like flowers - thingy!

Buried under the egg are 2 cheese enchiladas!

Dining on fine food with nice folks

I mean - - - - REALLY!

Looks familiar, huh? Really, it's the next day!

This time, tho, I took this group thru Kirkland Junction and Skull Valley for a different route to Prescott.

Bro and Sis

Nice sweepers into Prescott

Hard to tell but that's way way down the mountain from where we're standing.

Kickin back at Sunset Point rest area, then it's soak the shirts and down the I-17 sweepers and into Phoenix!

ALRIGHT! 2 days inna row, same loop same temps, different peeps! It's all good in Arizona!!
Until next time - - - - - - -

I likes enchiladas, but I want my eggs scrambled.

However I suppose I could stand them sunny side up just this once.

I loves enchiladas, specially da sou-dern style, and Green Chili.

Actually, those were artichokes.  They are a thistle and if you don't pick them, they bloom.
