Back from a 7 day 1600 mile motorcycle trip thru NC with Sara
Went to Abingdon Va first day, via creative routes thru West Va to include Rt 16 between War and Welch very curvy as I remembered Recommend
Took a mountain bicycle ride down an old rail road bed for 17 miles called the Creeper trail in Damascus Va, a down hill grade, which did not require a lot of effort on my part - cool, back thru the woods ect also recommend
Been wanting to try that for years right off Rt 58
Went under the natural rock arch near Shady Valley again also known as the snake Rt 421 also recommend. Always enjoy that run
Stopped in and seen a cousin in Blowing Rock NC then then went on down to my sisters's in Laurinburg NC. (to say hi and do laundry ) Did not find any good roads going that direction in NC
Then we went on to the coast to Topsail Island near Camp Lejeune USMC Base to meet up with Sara's sister who just got married, hung out at the beach for a few days then headed up thru NC to Bahama NC (to do laundry again) , where Sara's sister lives.
Then we headed for the Parkway for awhile and caught Rt 250 all the way back to Ohio nice and curvy also recommend.
Had a fun 7 day excursion on the Valk with Sara
