dont waste the money on 6 guages. You only need one guage........You check #3 and set all the rest to that reading one by one. That way the error between six individual guages is iliminated.............a digital guage is even better...I forget the name of the unit but its still one guage that you move to each cylinder one at a time.....much better result that way

+1 Chris! My latest synchrinization was accomplished with the gauge posted below. http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail/EQU1/3620/N1745.oap?ck=Search_N1745_-1_-1&categoryRedirect=N1745&pt=N1745&ppt=C0103I used to use a Motion Pro sync pro, but that instrument will play second fiddle to this new 4" gauge from now on. As some others here, I created a series a tubing attached to various carbs that culminatied into a manifold. I would then cycle through the cylinders by releasing a pair of forceps pinched on the line that allowed airflow, make my readings, adjustments, etc. to approximate the reading from number 3. By the time I went through all cylinders for the fourth time, all readings were nearly identical to number 3.

i have a 4 gauge set. as one is adjusted the others will move also. greatly speeds up the sync. and as for difference in gauges, i checked mine by attaching all of them to one source(mity vac). each gauge is adjustable. set them and you done.
but then i'm not the professional..........

Would you be able to post a picture of your set up with the tubing attached to the manifold? I've always wanted to learn how to do my own syncing and this would be a great start.

twinmax is the way to go I see on their website something about a 5mm and 6mm adapter. What do our Valkyries need? Thanks.

The vacuum ports are already in place on the carb intake tubes of your Valk. Usually other Hondas I've owned had vacuum ports that required a 5mm adapters.

pocobubba, they are the same gauge as sold at Harbor Freight. But sold individually. I bought 6; 1 of them did not read the same as the other 5 when checked on #3 cyl. So took it back for an exchange then made my set-up.

LinnB, go to the shop talk section here. This is where I received the info needed and gives you a good idea for making your own, others on here have gone to a pet store that sells fish tanks and accessories to purchase valves, fittings and tubing for their manifolds.

twinmax is the way to go +1 ! I just saw this last week on flyer that was stuck in the box with an order. Started thinking about putting it up on this site to see if anyone has used this device and would mind commenting on it?
