It's refreshing to see in this day of votes going strictly down party lines, 17 democrats break the line and vote to cite Holder for contempt.

The Congressional Democratic Black Caucus was not happy with the vote.  They staged a walkout.

Nope, he was in fine form as always:

http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/235485-rep-west-charges-black-caucus-of-supporting-holder-because-of-the-color-of-his-skin

Quote from: Rep Allen West
Today the Congressional Black Caucus and other liberal Members of Congress judged the Attorney General by the color of his skin, and not by the content of his character, I am disappointed my colleagues would rather engage in a political stunt to distract the American people from knowing the truth behind the Attorney General’s disregard of the law and disrespect of congressional oversight to provide requested documents.

There are some groups that base their support or condemnation of an accused person STRICTLY on their color.  Facts of guilt or innocence weigh little in these group's opinions.

Give him a fair hearing based on the facts of the case.

NRA helped the Dems find courage on the Gun Walking,

Vote for contempt or you lose your AAA Rating on NRA support at your next election bid.

Dems went for a self serving reason.

Not for right or wrong just for votes.

I could be wrong, but I think he was referring to the Congressional Black Caucus proving THEIR racism...

At least, that's how I saw it...

Maybe things aren't always what they seem. Not argueing here...just offering a link to a more in-depth investigation.

not sure about their view that we are getting 'whipped up' in a frenzy over this. we do demand answers that have not been provided by the nation's top cop Holder. literally thousands of completely redacted pages have been supplied and that makes us all think there MUST be something to hide.

if they truly had nothing to hide, why are they stymying the house over sight commitee?

also I've heard there was outrage from multiple ATF agents, maybe that didn't happen.

I also heard the gun shops called in the sales to ATF before making the sale, and the ATF said "ok".

all this is just what I've heard. except for the redacted docs supplied by Holder, that I've seen on youtube  Cool angel

Seems kinda racist to me, the congressional black caucus walikng out.  What else could they do though? They know deep in their hearts the man derserves what happened to him. They just can't stand it that it's "one of their own". I pretty much can guarentee ya if it was a white man, from the same party, they would not have walked out.  As far as I am concerned congress ought to find them in contempt as well. They are there to represent their constituents, not "walk out".

OK so Holder gets up in front of Congress wont produce the information asked for because Obama has declared exec privilege and Congress feels they are stonewalling them,,, and its racist. Yeah right what bs. If you stop Congress in its investigation and withhold information then what would you expect???. I guess its also racist that the whole Justice department is thumbing its nose at Congress too. If that were you or me up there I'm sure we would not be prosecuted right? Its really making Congress look like infective fools. DOJ enforces rules Congress makes now whose not doing their jobs, the whole government is at this point a seeming farce. All the ones that walked out even if they felt is was a political move are destroying the letter of the law and showing contempt for it. I saw some blacks but the freeze queen Pelosi was among them and most were democrats more than anything else. A few stayed to make points but that was about it.

ideology trumps race every time. they'll throw any one that is a similar skin color under a bus for a differing view.

My point is, if Holder was a white man, the congressional black caucus would not have walked out. They are the racists, imho, not the folk that found him in contempt.

Why do we even need a black caucus.  Could you imagine the outrage if we started a white caucus.  Or, what if Romney put a big ad out saying all white people need to vote for me.  If I had a son he would look like you.

There would be more outrage, yet there is silence, no one has the balls to confront "president" Obama for doing exactly that
