more sweat.......

We started this project early in March.....I had to leave and come back to it many times......doing one phase at a time......we pretty much completed it today....I only have to run some drip tube on the shrubs and a few of the trees.....

Started by roughing out the footings with a backhoe.....

Add some pavers for a walkway.....

Plant a few plants.....

I've never seen blocks shaped on the inside like those. Any significance to the way they are moulded??

First time I had seen any molded like that also.......it didn't matter so much as long as you use them in a retaining wall fashion or in an enclosed planter like this one.....darn things weighed around 80lbs each.....took almost 300....my poor back!!..... Cheesy

Thanks guys......This is the first time I've ever built a stacked block wall.....I've done PLENTY of crosstie retaining walls, steps, planters.....so, I took my time and made sure everything was level and square and made especially sure I compacted the base.... cooldude

I did have them carry them over and place them near where I needed them.....I always work harder than my crew....just the way it is!

You got to learn to delegate Steamer.

Train your team and the team will accomplish more.

I assume most of your team might not be that willing but I'm sure you can find one or two who take pride in what they can accomplish.

I let my Groundskeeper be in charge of some of the job.....he's a former Marine.....and does take pride in a job well done.....sadly, he is going to Tech school to learn A/C work....... Sad
