I MIGHT be shoveling kaka against the tide here but shouldn't the loudness be determined by a decibel meter???? Wink 1 mans loud might not be anothers. crazy2 If they are going strictly by ear alone i would think that opens up a whole nuther can of fish bait. cooldude RIDE SAFE.

this was 2-3 years ago. they stopped when the courts would not cooperate thanks to ABATE and hundreds of riders filling every court in the area.

Thanks for that info,Tank! You're right,it's not just bout helmet laws, & there are various chapters here in Texas, but not one representing South Central Texas (San Antonio) area. Looks like we're due for a chapter, with all the riders we have out here. We need to be standing up for our rights instead of whining about losing them.  cooldude

In the '60's, you had to have a muffler. If a cop could put his nightstick up you exhaust, it was ticket city. Now the lawyers want decibel meters. Carefree, AZ tried this and caused a whole lot of uproar. I don't know the current status of the ordinance but it's out of the news now. The Carefree ordinance could give tickets to a whole group of bikes if collectively they exceeded the meter allowance.

The "biker with baby" photograph on the main page is probably the work of this chick who used to work with our lobbyist.  Don't let that touchy-feely nonsense throw you off,  TMRA-II is an effective MRO.

not doughting Abate being great in some states or even in some locals. but in my neck of the woods ABATE stands for 1 thing.
Alcoholic bikers at taverns everywhere..
I used to belong..but the same ones up at every meeting preaching safety and how they could improve the mentally of auto drivers. were the same ones riding home after every meeting after consuming more than a 6 pack of beer.

Ditto.....mostly. I was a member for a year. The ONLY subject discussed every time
I went was repeal of the helmet law. They still send me letters....they go straight in
the trash.
