Riding alone is fun
Riding with a friend or two is more fun

CB's really help a person stay out of trouble on the road

You can never drink too much water or V8 or Nakid Drink on a hot day

You dont need front brakes to go down a mountain road if you are in the correct gear

Valkyrie riders can be incredibly unselfish unless you are on a buffet line or waiting for a gas pump, then its every man for himself lol

There are tens of thousands of windmills in Oregon

The wind going up the gorges in Washington and Oregon is strong

12 hrs on the road goes quickly

Even the 3rd day of 12 hrs goes quickly unless you are stopped in traffic in the heat

Rain aint so bad even 5 hrs of it going down Lolo as long as there is no lightning

That it is possible to break a c clamp trying to compress a brake caliper

That old brake pads are really good at helping to compress that caliper after you break the c clamp

That if you leave a wet doo rag or evaporative vest in the trunk it gets nasty overnight but soap and water clean them quickly

That it is a very good thing to know the directions to your cousin's house BEFORE you get to his town, just in case he isnt home

That 18 bagels do not last as long as I thought

That Macallan Scotch will not survive if left unattended around Valkyrie riders

That I am one lucky dude to have as many friends as I do in large part because I do in fact own and operate a Valkyrie

That Steve Tiffany is an exceptional friend and pretty fair Valk pilot

That hooters girls can make great secretaries

That the sunset in Montana is awesome

That the wind can actually blow in more than two directions at once in South Dakota

That the wind After a storm passes in South Dakota gets even stronger if that is possible

That 14 going up the BigHorn Mountains is really steep

That Beartooth Pass rules  and how do people actually pedal a bike clear to the top?

That my Valkyrie can indeed get 50mpg at 50 mph  (Route 78 between Cody and the gas station 50 miles away before Chief Joseph Highway

That you can get a hit air jacket and a half and full face modular helmet in the trunk of a Valk

That VOAi and VRCC members are some of the greatest people on the planet even if some of them talk funny

Seriously?  It took a ride all the way across the country for you to figure that out?

Hey Oss,

If you didn't know at least some of these things, you were in serious denial. Hell, I can't seem to hide a bottle of McCallan from ANY of the guys I hang out with. As for Hooters, I only go there for the wings! Shocked Roll Eyes

Sounds like you are having a great trip. Enjoy, and be safe!!! cooldude

Enjoy the ride my friend, there's no better way to see the world than from the seat of a motorcycle.
