Thanks for the post Gear Jammer. That video really touched a nerve. The old vets tattoo is that of the same unit I served with in Vietnam. 11th Armored Cav (Blackhorse) 69/70.  Raymond

Great video.  I am proud to ride along side so many Viet Nam Vets in my Rolling Thunder chapter.

Not a Vet myself.

OMG......That was so moving on both ends. Thank you for posting that. Whenever I see a person in uniform I walk up and quietly say thank you for your service and shake his or her hand. I also tell them to please be careful. My son is U.S. Air Force bound. We are very proud of him, and thankful for all that wear the uniform today, AND for those that wore one in the past. Thank you one and all.

Great video.....I think the Vietnam era Vets are owed a big apology for the way a LOT of folks treated them....it makes me mad just thinking about the difference in treatment from then to now...... Angry Angry......I had the opportunity to pay for a Service members lunch a few years ago.....I told the waitress not to tell them about it until I was gone....I hope I get the chance again someday to do the same thing again.....just a small token of my appreciation...... cooldude

I attend a lot of Patriot Guard functions, including standing in honor of our servicemen and veterans that are being laid to rest.

Although that is a worthy cause, I sometimes feel that my acknowledgement of their service to this Country has come a little late.  Once they've passed away, I can no longer give them a firm handshake and an eye to eye reverent "thank you for you service."

I prefer, catching a veteran in a biker bar and buying him a beer or anonymously paying his tab in a restaurant.  Why wait until someone's died before we say "thanks."

Durn gnats showed up around my puter desk-AGAIN. 2funny The way i was treated wearing a uniform may have something to do with how i make it a point to thank those in uniform today. I try hard not to let what happened so long ago keep me from showing my true appreciation to those fine young folks putting on a ubiform today. cooldude I console my self with the fact that most of the a$$holes that protested then are more than likely still a$$holes. crazy2 Very good video B T W. cooldude RIDE SAFE.
