Today it was the humidity that got to me. I left home at 7.30 to go to a car show. A short spin after that and I was home at 12.30

My recent dash across America had me in 100f + for 7 of the eleven days. Very dry days and little discomfort.

the heat used to not bother me........but it's been harder the last 3-4 years....got heat exhaustion at work once a few years ago and was so sick, I had to lay in the floor at work for an hour after everyone else went home before I felt good enough to drive home.....I had used hedge shears(the ones on a long shaft) to trim almost all the job sites that needed it in high 90's heat......seems like the heat affects me more now......

As I get older, I actually enjoy the cold weather MUCH better......I ride my cart all around town even down into the "15-17deg" temps without putting the cover on it.....I can work all day in the mid 20's with just my T-shirt, thin long sleeve shirt, sweat shirt on top.......and long johns and pants......rarely wear a coat except on the 2 mile ride from our shop into and out of downtown......I see plenty of "headlights" during that time of year...... cooldude cooldude cooldude

You had less "insulation" then.

As I get older, I actually enjoy the cold weather MUCH better......I ride my cart all around town even down into the "15-17deg" temps without putting the cover on it.....I can work all day in the mid 20's with just my T-shirt, thin long sleeve shirt, sweat shirt on top.......and long johns and pants......rarely wear a coat except on the 2 mile ride from our shop into and out of downtown.

And you have more insulation now.

it does.....I'd rather not be sliding down the road on pavement in 107 degree heat in a short sleeve shirt..... Shocked Shocked Shocked

A fawn with spots jumped out in front of my buddy on his Harley......he was riding in front of me and I was giving him some space since he's a new rider......the fawn was slipping and sliding all over the road.....back peddling until it regained some traction and ran on across the road.....my buddy had taken his jacket off and was riding in short sleeves.......glad he was able to avoid getting hit.......he had me lead again at the next crossroad a mile down the road......I think he needed to change his pants??..... Cheesy

Just go ATGATT at less than 100 degrees.  Wink  I usually give up the armored pants and switch to jeans and a light weight padded mesh jacket in the summer. Hoser  Like this.  107 in SD last week.
