If you are ever out meandering through Louisiana, make a trip through historic St. Francisville and check out the Audubon bridge.  It is one of the most beautiful bridges in the country.



It turns out there are 3 bridges named J.J.Audubon across the United States, but here's some info on the newest one that's located in Louisiana:

No, it closed with the opening of the bridge.  However, there are several others running on the Mississippi.  I routinely take groups of motorcycles across the one in Plaquemine.

BTW: That little dot in my picture about to cross under the first suspension tower is my friend "Little Miller" an his wife on their Valk Interstate.  I'd have made him famous, if he had slowed his roll while I setup my camera.
