I had been dealing with the buzzing noise long enough and decided to go after that darn buzz bolt behind the radiator. I tried torquing it down and would be somewhat less but still some buzzing noise. I had it torqued to 85 lbs/ft and still buzzing but not as much. Finally figured out it wasn't just the buzz bolt but also the chrome frame cover I have just in front of the gas tank. Seeing as how I wanted to change the coolant anyway I took off the radiator and went after that buzz bolt. I couldn't see how it had any end play axially as it was a tight fit but does have clearance with the bolt so I drilled and tapped two holes for a couple of #8-32 SST setscrews and forced the tube up against the bolt.

The frame cover I just put some velcro on the inside to keep it from touching the frame.

What a difference being able to ride and not hearing that buzzing sound anymore

We pump the tube full of RTV silicone sealant and put some in the cups the tube rests in.  Torque it down and no more rattles.

I had the same problem years back.  After tightening it reasonably hard, no joy.  So I tightened it with every ounce of strength I had with two hands on the wrench (and the bolt did not break) and that did it.

It did drive me crazy for a while, as I like OE exhaust and can actually hear things.
