Cleaned starter switch yesterday (new owner flying in today) seemed to be all good, started is like a dozen times.... putting the trunk on this am and for kicks tried to start her... nada. I do hear a light noise from down by the starter area..
I removed and cleaned the battery connections and the switch looked great when I got done.. It has had an intermittent not starting problem and then 30 tries later it fires up perfect. I figured it was switch related. the switch did need to be cleaned..
I'm going out now to check the ground where it attaches to the frame..

When you cleaned the switch, did the little brass thing with the two bumps move....I mean if you press it down did the spring pop it back up or was it stuck (like many are) in its groove.  If its stuck that will cause intermittent starting

I noticed it was sticking and not poping up but I cleaned the sides of the brass and it seemed to be moving freely. I figured out the nopis I hear when I hit the switch is comming from the starter area..

If you cant find anything else........may re check, if its sticking again....I have used an exacto blade to clean out the grove and emory cloth to smooth the brass thing and make dang sure it cant get stuck

I just pulled the switch again - I cant see that as the problem. I still hear the light noise at the starter and with all the attempted starting I now wonder if the battery could be getting low in juice for starting..

Try jump starting from a non running car. It'll tell you if you over used the battery without enough charging input.

You cannot just keep starting it and not expect to wear down the battery.

If the battery voltage gets low the ignition system will shut down.

The starter motor will continue to turn the motor over but you'll get no fire from the ignition.

The only saver is that when doing this exercise, sometimes, at the instant you stop pushing the button, you have relieved the battery enough to allow enough current to fire the plugs. That's if the motor still has a little coasting left in it!

the motors not starting , it doesn't turn over at all , you push the button it makes a white click them by the starter and that's it ... it started multiple times yesterday  after I clean the switch  .... I do appreciate everyone's input

before jumping to a stronger battery make sure your solenoid under the right side cover isint melting first.......if that looks good then jump to your car battery to rule out a weak Valk battery
