We rode from pier 4 to the end of the road north  and hiked to a waterfalls and the sea, then back to the bike and rode all the way to the end of the road south and watched eagles flying  just under hundred miles on the day  great scenery and wildlife

As the road ended to dirt an eagle flew  (well actually passed me from above  not even 20 feet above me) almost dumped the bike with the surprise as I took my eyes off the road   lol  good thing I remembered no front brake at low speeds from not having brake last week

Bonnie will upload pics for me later my phone died, verizon fedex one to my office that arrived today

Bonnie just pointed out another eagle flying by the ship  gorgeous place sunny skies high 60's right now

Tomorrow Juneau and a helicopter ride to Mendenhall Glacier and walkabout.

Sounds like you are having a great time, can't wait for pictures. Remember, when you are riding a wing, I think the brakes are integrated. If you grab the fronts, the back will work also. Ride Safely.

Typical OSS, soaring with eagles,
while I am still dealing with chickens here on earth.
I hear the Juneau Hooters has good wings.  cooldude

today was Tracy Arm and view Stewart glaciers starting at 6am  I was up at 4 with sunrise

Was pretty damn cold, too bad my heated gloves are back in seattle with my bike along with my toe warmers

We have our helicopter ride at about 6 local time  I am thinking a good glass of scotch is going to go down before I leave the ship

Never been on a helicopter before, should be interesting,

We are missing Anchorage like we missed you on the way out thru Lolo, or maybe we just missed you in the rain Tom

Maybe next time if there is one Wink

Have a happy 4th of July  Remember those who gave so we have today

Boy, ya'll is a havin too much fun.

Don't worry about the copter ride.

If it goes down, just hang on and pray to God you survive.

Laugh, it was a joke, copter rides are great, you can see a lot of ground from up there.

I've had several chopper rides.

it was COLD and WINDY up there, even worse than Buffalo in the winter but just beautiful  the crevasses were much bigger and deeper than I imagined  The pilot was great and we had the time of our lives  worth every penny and then some

Its gonna be hard going back to work monday but I got to pay for this trip

now to put another dent in this bottle of scotch I brought with us from Seattle
