A big "thank you" to whoever it was on here that mentioned the Mobil One sale. A savings of 3 bucks a quart. I bought enough for a couple of oil changes.

Sidenote: Had a young guy working in the store who I asked if they had any more of the Mobil One in back because there was only 4 quarts on the shelf. He brought out a couple of cases from the back. He saw my shirt with the Valkyrie on it and said you're not buying this for a motorcycle, are you?  I said yes and then he  said you can't use car oil in a motorcycle. He told me I had to use the Mobil One Motorcycle oil if I was buying oil for a motorcycle. I politely thanked him for the advice and took my purchase to the counter and he said again. You can't use that in a motorcycle. At that point I explained that the only issue is with the clutch but it is was OK as long as the oil wasn't labeled "energy conserving." An older guy at the counter said well I'll be, I didn't that know either!

What's even more suprising is that you can also use the cheapest dino oil with no problem in your motorcycle. Without energy conservers of course.

My previous Valkyrie will vouch for that and the over 100,000 miles I've ridden my ST will vouch for that.

HOWEVER I will NOT be using the "new" recycled  oil that some oil suppliers are promoting. The marketing material reads ab it like snake oil rather than dino oil.

I see what the oil looks like when I do oil changes
