not enough information...but for starters...check, fill or replace...oil, brake pads, all fluids, rear end service, oil filter, air filter...there that should keep you busy!!!    cooldude

Replace ALL fluids except fork oil if the forks are not leaking.
Replace both tires if they are still the original ones.
Replace air filter.
Full rear end maintenance when changing the rear tire.
Your battery, if original, will be on its last legs.
Starter button maintenance.
Check your rear shock bushings for wear (shock "eye" not centred on shock bolt).
Check brake pads for wear.
Pull off the tank and check all the vacuum hoses and caps for cracking and replace the bad ones.  It's probably not a bad idea to either do a desmog or replace all of them regardless of apparent condition.
Drain the dragon drool hose.

If unsure what any of this means, have a good look through the Shoptalk pages and/or use the search function on this board.

Drain carbs into a white catch towel, and see what comes out. May give you an insight into the condition of the gas tank. You have good info on previous posts, and I would add lubing up the clutch and brake pivots.

Some info on the Interstate electrics;

Buy a manual, and also download a PDF.

Most of what was said, do, but over time, like maybe the next month or so, depending on how far you are driving.

But I would think seriously about doing your rear end splines now, the weekend is here. If this one has not been done, or properly, it could cost a LOT of money and down time. It should be done every 10K miles, which you seem to be at 20K right now.

Others will disagree, but it's like hydro lock, it will only cost you if you don't know what it is when it happens, and press and hold the starter switch until something breaks. From what I have read from others, it is only when they hold and press a second time is there damage.
