One of his best roles that really streached him was the crazy soldier in "Flight of the Phoenix". He could play anything from a second rate thug, to a high raking General. Thanks for all the great films and TV episodes sir!

He was a real nice guy. I went to High School with his nephew, Paul. "Uncle Ernie" came over and we watched the Super Bowl in 1974. Just a real nice man.
