Man, something is just not clicking in the old brain. I've gone over the washer mod several times and I just can't grasp the concept. The pics and description are nice but what are you actually accomplishing and what's the board for in the next to the last pic? Do the washers move the end of the bolts away from the tire or do they spread the fender?

Thanks

It pushes the fender to the right.  I have 3 washers in and mine moved about 1/2 an inch.  I also did the nut cage mods and it took all of that to clear my 206-60-16 tire (Goodyear TT at first then the General Altimax currently on it).

The fender brace is held out by the washers. The board helps to do this and make room for the washers. The rear fender is then pulled out by the rearmost fender bolt when it is tightened last.
