Hooked up with the NGAMC http://www.meetup.com/NGAMC1/

We went hither and thither on the way there with an unwanted stop when one of the riders got a tad carried away on a bend near "The Stonepile". http://roadsidegeorgia.com/site/stonepile.html

He had to go off in an ambulance. His bike went on a wrecker. He had a dislocated shoulder and some cracked/broken ribs

One of the most important things I've learnt about bike wrecks on mountain roads is that YOU HAVE to get traffic control in place IMMEDIATELY. If you can't help medically that's what you MUST do. Not stand around like a bunch of frickin fish wives trying to have your own reality TV show gossiping about why the wreck happened.

The attending police don't seem to give a rats ass about traffic control.

If I hadn't been flagging down drivers a couple of them would have piled into what they couldn't see around the bend.

One dumb as a rock young woman with her cell phone firmly planted up her ass only just managed to not rear end a stopped vahicle.

So on with the ride.

Jack and Anita Hunt trailered with their Valkyrie and supplied lunch for us. Not only supplied but prepared and cooked.

Inflated with altitude.

Marion, originally from from Holland, rides a Honda 750 like she stole it.

The burgers were excellent.

It made me wonder how so many restaurants/diners can efficiently and easily screw up a burger with their professionally equipped  kitchens.
