The Lunch Ride with the staff on Monday, July 23 will be at Castle Rogues Manor.  Gordorad helped to arrange a special lunch and tour for IZXII attendees.  Lunch will consist of soup, sandwiches and tea; the cost is $12.00 per person.

As Gordorad said previously, this is really a very unique place.  It is being filmed for the HGTV series Home Strange Home.   Here's a link to check it out is: http://www.castleroguesmanor.com

Thanks again for your help Gordorad...  Smiley

Yep... rescheduled for Monday; pretty much the same details otherwise.

Same Bat-time, same Bat-channel, different Bat-day!  Wink

Maybe we can shuffle the deck a bit and make it work.  It is, after all, everyone's vacation.   angel

Hey HotGlue, Same with my better half and me. Since the ride to the Castle was on for Tuesday, I had told Carolyn we could work registration from 11 to 1 pm on Monday. This is a bummer, since we really wanted to make the lunch ride to the Castle. Can't tell you how many emails I sent back and forth to find out what was when, and now it's still different.  ??? Oh well, may have to play hookie as well, or maybe go there Tuesday with you and FB if that is even on option. We'll see when we get there on Sunday.

If you guys are going to play hookie, please let us know. Its not real fun when people are penciled in and don't showup.
Just saying.

I agree. That's why I went through all the gyrations to be certain that the lunch ride to the Castle was Tuesday before I agreed to working Monday. Also why I said "let's wait to see what's up when we get there Sunday". I've been left in a lurch enough myself in the past to not do that to others.

What is going on is what is wrong with changing things.  So that a handful of people attending state reps lunch could go, on a ride that was not happening officially, a whole bunch of others made plans, and those plans are now all screwed up by the change in plans.

Oh well.

Hello everyone.....Thought I'd throw my 2 cents in this conversation. Anyone I spoke to about working registration was told events should come first, so there should be no issue with anyone who wants to go on the lunch ride. Granted we'll need coverage; but this ride was a specific topic of conversation with several people. Hotglue isn't scheduled to work registraion, right? FB isn't scheduled to work registaion on Monday, she's scheduled to work registrtion on Wednesday morning.

Let's talk about this when we're all there on Sunday. There'll be enough people around to cover raffle and registration for the time folks are gone for the lunch ride, if not it looks like one or the other might just not happen during that time. I'm not concerned and you guys shouldn't be either.

Can't wait to see you guys very soon.  Safe travels everyone Smiley

I'm scheduled to sell raffle/50-50 tickets.
Not a big deal!  I said I would be there... I'll be there... Monday  1100 to 1300 hours!
We can go see the Castle Tuesday...  We will call and make reservations so they know we are coming..... and find out how much lead time they need for folks that want to come.......Looks like us and maybe Valkhuna now....

Ditto what Carolyn said!!

Anyone that wants to go to the castle on Monday should go!  We will get things covered, I promise.

I appreciate folks not wanting to leave us in a lurch, but it's YOUR vacation and YOUR event.  We don't want any unhappy campers.

P.S.  HG we'll tie Disco up and make him cover for ya!  (Ha, kidding... sort of)

We will be there on the job.....
unless we don't get out of Cuba Mo. in time....  We will be coming to Inzane via Cuba Mo.
Post to the Spyder board...
 Cowtown to the rescue!!!!
Flamingbabe and I are planning to leave in a 10 days to go on a 10 week trip!!!!!
I had her Spyder pulled apart to check the valve clearance.... Hoping they would all be good..... BUT....
Exh valves were real tight... tighter than spec.....
I really don't feel good about tearing into the work that it takes to remove the cams and change the shims..... so called around town , and every one I called said 3 to 4 weeks for service.
That would put us late for my nephews' wedding, which wouldn't be so bad ... if I wasn't officiating the wedding...Ackkkk.
Called Len at Cowtown... he said he would work us in!!!!!
We will trailer the Spyder, and my bike to Cuba, Have Len and his FAB crew work on the bike!!!!!!
Leave the truck and 18ft gooseneck there in the back pasture somewhere... and take off to Eureka Springs,Ark, for a Valkyrie Rally..... then head off West... and end up in Eureka Ca. for the Spyders in the Redwoods.
Then north to Seattle for the nephews' wedding.... Hook up with my brother-in-law..(he has a Spyder) Ride up into Canada, then down through Idaho to see the grandson..... Then East to Virginia to meet with Friends, Then to East Tenn for Lamonts' BBQ..........Then west to Cuba and Cowtown to get the truck and trailer .....
The real bummer is...Flamingobabe won't drive the truck and trailer.... so I will have to load my bike on it and drive it home.....My bet is she will ride..LOL

Thanks Len for making it happen!!!!

Hope we can hook up with the Mo Gang while we are there!!!!!!!

Oh well.

We didn't change anything; we were already looking at having the lunch ride to the castle when Gordo made his post.  It wasn't changed so that a handful of people could go; it was changed because the plans were already in the works to go on Monday.

When I was in AR last week, I looked for something else.  But in the short time I had, I didn't have any luck.  So I contacted Gordo when I got back, so we could work out the issues.

If your wanting a head count, add 3 more for a Tuesday castle lunch ride. We are not arriving until Monday approx 1 pm. We had planned on the Tuesday ride until the recent revision!

Last year was our first IZ. My wife and I are looking forward to seeing all of our new friends. My Dad (73 in Aug) is riding his Valk to his first IZ this year.

I don't want to complicate this but since the Rogues Manor has very limited seating perhaps we could work out a simple plan that could arrange for a Tuesday as well as a Monday lunch for those that either arrive late on Monday, volunteer their time, or simply can't make it on Monday for any number of reasons. We will have nearly 400 folks showing up that may want to do this at the last minute. Whatever food they don't sell on Monday could be consumed by Tuesday. Just a thought.
