I went on a 100 mile ride.For me, 5 foot 9,30 inch inseam, my stock seat is totally comfortable.I have just the stalks from some old goldwing highway pegs mounted on my engine guards.they hang down about as far as micopegs.Otherwise i couldnt even rid the bike.problem is,just resting your feet on a bar about 2 inches around and after about 75 miles i started cramping up in either leg.Stock peg position is impossible.I had 2 motorcycle wrecks in 2000 and cant bend my right knee enough to use midmount pegs.The mic opeg site doesnt say a rider with 30 inch inseam can use theirs, and big bike things says their controls are out of stock.I have a friend that maybe can make me some,doubt it though.If my seat would just scoot 2 inches farther back that might do it.I had started a thread about this and cant find it.I love my bike.Especially now with new stock quiet mufflers.

I have arthritis in my knees & ankles, and many days had the problems you describe. I disliked the cruise peg location because of the heat from the valve covers. On a suggestion from Mr B, I got an Ultimate King (?) the seat that moves ya 2" back & 1" higher.
I am in love with the seat.........

...and I think Disco Dave has a King Boy seat on his project bike, if he hasn't sold it yet. He'd probably let you try it out (but I'm not speaking for Dave - just a thought).

I'm 6-0, 32" inseam. Not that tall, just hated my knees bent that far. Pre-2000 seat was better than post-2000 seat which made me sit lower, more forward.

I just took mt seat to extreme upholstery in denton.I hope it works. |

I have arthritis  and had my hip replaced so I know what your going through. I took a stock interstate seat and added about 2" to the padding and cut out the back pad about 5" and then I felt comfortable.  I also put some sheepskin on it and that helped a lot. |

Doubleminded.... Could you say more about the forward control situation? You contacted them and they were out? Do you know if they'll make more one day, or are we nearing the end of an era WRT BBT Valkyrie stuff...? -Mike |

I tried to post an answer here but the dang computer kept messing up.I have a friend that is a master fabricator.I am sure he could make some.It wouldnt be free.I wanted the new style because they would have fit me,since i have only a 30 inch inseam.The original ones had the shifter peg plumb out in front of the crash bars,totally unreachable for me.I bought the arm rests from them,they worked fine, but the stock passenger pad screws were too short to go through the arm rests and the pad mounting holes.Their site is up, I just dont know about the controls.
