Don't know if this was posted previously, but I thought I would just throw it out there for discussion. Thought it was an interesting read. Would be interested in all opinions on this.

Personally, I've always felt that MC tires are made a certain way for a reason. Just makes sense to me, but to each his/her own. I thought the liability issue was also interesting, although I can't imagine anyone grasping at that straw.

What BS. The bias of that article is so strong you can smell it.

It's been beaten to death, Loopie.

I read the entire article.  It's tripe by an uninformed writer admittedly inexperienced who gathered all his input from people with an agenda to that fit his inexperienced presupposition.

If the piece were printed on paper it may be suitable for after activity use in the john.  Beyond that it serves no meaningful purpose.

Now that I really look at this pic, I think BA might have photoshopped the woman on the right.  Something looks different about her "suit". Smiley

I know it's been beaten to death, but thought it was an interesting read. Granted, everyone he talked to is gonna respond the way they did. HUGE liability issues otherwise when being quoted in a corporate role.

Car tires save money for  the big mile riders.

But if you are a regular rider, no benifit is to be had.

Other than bad handling and real wear issues on the Valkyrie drive train/

I am one... and I'll beat the horse a little more...

I am 330 lbs.  My SO is over 200. plus gear, plus the Valk.  So OPTIMISTICALLY we're a 1500 lb package when rolling... I feel safer with the CT on the back, than with the MC tire.  I just think it is too close to the load limit.  Especially when it's HOT.

all the other reasons... blah blah blah too.

The world is FULL of people I really like, but disagree with.   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

True

WHen I originally posted the pic the fellow was in the pic on the right

If someone could teach me how to enlarge the pics so they will still be under 75k that would be great

I would bet all but the one on the left are as the Lord made them, well at least the red head and the one on the right for sure

I have had MC tires (dunlop, metz and cobra and now Battleaxe 200 series) and a car tire

IMHO the Bridgestone Battleaxe gives ME (maybe not you) a very wide contact patch in all conditions and roads and so far I am at 8000 miles and there is enough tread to get me thru the winter and maybe the spring as well    With the ride-on in the tire I believe I am getting more life out of the tire as that was my experience with the metzler and the cobra as well

That said I did Love the car tire on Hay's o6 wing when I was on it for a weekend for GOTF
and may get a more rounded car tire for my spare wheel one day

YMMV  Al come up to NY and help hold the camera for me

You can do better than the fellow who almost ruined this shot  (photoshop yourself into the pic if you want) lol
