As president of the DFW VRCC for 2012-2013, I want you to know what my goals are for the upcoming year.
1) Restart the 50/50 drawings to build up a treasury. Use for club activities, tools or supplies for the “football”, wrench
party food reimbursement and donations to the Ride for Kids.
2) Hold a wrench party at least once every 2 months. Wrench parties should not be free repair shops – they will be meetings to share what we have learned about how to repair our valks and to teach and help those who need assistance. Anyone coming to a wrench party should expect to get their hands dirty.
3) Volunteers holding wrench parties are to be compensated for snacks, beverages from the club treasury (see #1)
4) A speaker at our meetings whenever possible. Topics such as new offerings from Honda by one of Al Lamb’s reps, technical tips, safety tips from safety experts, etc. We may get a sales pitch, but we'll learn something, too.
5) A minimum of one club ride per month, details posted at least 2 weeks before the ride. The date of the next ride to be announced at the prior month’s meeting and on the VRCC forum and posted to the forum calendar.
6) Decisions on where to meet the next month will be made at the meeting the prior month and then posted to the Texas forum and on the forum calendar Full participation with ideas and places to meet (remember, we need a private meeting room) by all members requested. (In order for a meeting to be a
meeting, we need to have a private room.)
7) Commitment by members to announce plans for rides and meetups (even if small ones) on the forum so that others can join in. We need to be more inclusive.

December meeting to be a Christmas event with “Chinese” gift exchange.
9) Update and maintain a better email list for announcements.
10) Timely announcements.
11) Re-welcoming members who have dropped out. This is a top priority of mine. We are better with them and need them back to help us grow the club. Our history is rich and we need them to make our future even richer.
These are the things I want to do in the next year. I hope you will share my vision.
Thanks!
RainMaker
