Can somebody tell me the size and pitch of the upper shock bolt? I managed to break one off after mounting the car tire. Or if there is I place where I can find this info. I tried searching here and HDL, but couldn't find the thread pitch. I do know that 8mmX1mm pitch doesn't work.

Why not remove the good one, take it to ACE hardware, get one just like it......

I tried that last night at Home Depot. According to their little bolt thing that you screw it into, it was an 8-1.0. But that won't thread into the shock mount. I guess it was just worn out. I think our local Ace is already closed for the day.

Does 8x12 mean it's a 1.25 ? That is what I have listed for #11 (8 x 1.25)

I saw that on the fiche, but wasn't sure what the 8x12 designated. 12 isn't the length, and I don't think it would thread into the 1.25 hole at HD. I'm taking the bolt to Lowes and will try putting a nut on it and skip the ID board.

8X12 in this case means 8mm diameter by 12mm long. The thread pitch isn't mentioned.

If that's the case, the one that was in there was way too long. It's 20mm

M8x1.25x20 fits perfect in mine. Fiche says 12mm, mine had 20mm so that's what I got. Next time I will probably go with the shorter ones. 5 pack of stainless hex bolts was $3 at Lowe's.

I installed the chrome shock covers on rear shocks and the stainless bolt cover really looked dull. I looked all over the internet for chrome shock bolts of same size. I also looked for them in the local hardware stores in Dallas that stocks a lot of chrome fasteners. NO LUCK! But, I went just a little shorter and found the chrome bolts locally at two hardware stores and they worked perfectly. I did not tighten enough and lost one on the road so learned the hard way to use threadloc on these bolts.
