Anyone know of a panel mount USB port that I could put in my fairing? I found one last year but it doesn't put out enough power for my GPS. It really plays hell with the GPS cuz everytime I start the bike it reboots the GPS

I really don't want a cigarette lighter/adaptor

I could just buy the hard wire kit but then I'll have a cord hanging when it's not on the bike.  Undecided

Not panel mount, but this has a strap to mount it to the handlebar. I had one and ran right next to the riser. It was a clean install. It is very good quality.

try http://burnsmoto.com/waterproof-usb-charger-socket-panel-mount.php. it is a panel mount that is available in 1 or 2 amp output.

I have one of these
http://www.ebay.com/itm/12-Volt-Power-Point-with-5-volt-USB-Powerpoint-Outlet-/370409173256?pt=Car_Audio_Video&hash=item563e1b7108

But it doesn't work very well. when I start the bike it reboots the GPS. And when it is running its like it's low on power.

I thought maybe it was not getting enough current but the one you are pointing to is only one amp also?

This is the one I have http://burnsmoto.com/usb-power-socket-weatherproof.php with the SAE plug it hooks into my Battery Tender plug. I haven't figured out a better way to mount it yet.
