I'm going to put a Pingle fuel valve on my Interstate, This one;

 Any issues with the fuel gauge accuracy after installation? Reserve accuracy etc? Any input would be welcomed.

Have one on mine and have not seen any difference from stock. maybe a little less on reserve. Dont usually run my tank low enough to hit reserve.

I have one on my I/S.. when the fuel gauge gets to the last block and starts blinking
I took 5.7 gals fuel @ 180-200 miles. I have never gone to reserve so I don't know how much is left in the tank then.

I've had the info for quite a while, but can't locate it all now. The question(s) comes up fairly frequently. So you mod the fuel pick up of the new ping (pulling the screen, & lengthing the pickup tube), and finally installing a Golan 10 micron filter high flow filter. The new moded ping with the longer tube equals the original I/S reserve capacity. I used the ping vacuum model but I'm in the minority, most use the manual model. I did find this;

I would really try searching the words pingel, pingle, or petcock etc. There are hundreds of words written in regards to this subject. Search the current forum and the old tech archives as well. If I find more info later I'll post it.

I just bought the same Pingel petcock for my Bobber project bike.
Less than $87.00 with shipping on Amazon.com.

Should find out how well it works by the end of the month.
PS. not an I/S, Slyk

 I have a manual valve and as best i've benn able to figure i have 2 1/2 quarts of reserve. I put 1 gallon in a empty tank, turned the valve to normal postion and let it run tilll the flow started to slow  down, then turned to reserve and did the same thing, got the same quanity all three time i did it. I then to the bike out and ran it down till it needed reserve ( was on a 4 lanes highway with 5 gas stations  in a 10 mile run), got 22 miles out of reserve. Filled up and put 7.055 gallon in a I/S tank filled to the bottom of the neck, flat groung on the kick stand.

Have one on my 2K Blue and Silver I/S.  There is no effect on the I/S's fuel gauge.
