I was wondering where I could find information on what material to use and how to repair my saddle bags scratches. Also I would like to know how to take off the pin stripes. Thanks.

I just refinished my bags and filled the rear seam. ABS black glue (DO NOT USE THE COMBINATION GLUE , IT WILL NOT WORK) JB weld is even better. Be sure the surface is clean and wax free.  If you fill the rear seam , use a sawzall blade by hand to remove the wax buildup. Fill it , let it dry ( I put them in the sun to bake)
Sand and refill. The first time I used a razor scraper to smooth out the JB. Do not build it to high as it is hard to take it back down. Sand as needed to get the finish. Take your time.  If you google  -repairing ABS saddle bags, you will get several sights to use as reference. You might need some body spot filler if you end up with pock marks.

I got long winded before. The pin stripes are under a clear coat. It is a sanding process to remove them . Most parts stores sell pinstripe removal kits.  Again, take your time. If you are going to repaint, you have to have ABS primer.
