With a chemo session scheduled for Thurs. June 11 and a PET scan ordered for June 15 there is no way I can do the Blue/Grey ride.  This hurts and SUCKS!!!!!

There is a room available in Knoxville at the Motel 6 (865-675-7200) if anyone is interested.

Everyone ride safe and drink in this memorable event......I expect plenty of pictures!

Daddy died of cancer a couple of years ago so my best thoughts and prayers are headed your way.  Keep a positive attitude and don't let this beat you down.

Been there, done that.  Hang in there, and keep up the good fight, it is beatable.  I go in for my routine 3 month CT, Lab, and X rays tomorrow.  One year two months free of Peritonal Mesothelioma, Five years and two months free of Prostate Cancer.  Never give an inch, never embrace that Spawn of the Devil Cancer, reject any part of it.  Do not even think "My Cancer", much less vocalize it.  Take charge of your treatment, dont be afraid to get second and third opinions, and do the research and seek out the absolute genius doctor that knows everything there is to know about the type.  My Primary doctor is 800+ miles away, and my local Oncologist follows through with his instructions.  In this game attitude is everything.  Five years ago looking through the Prostate thing, I started planning a ride to Alaska.   Havent made it yet, but the round with Meso put it on the front burner with more looking ahead at the future.  It is great to look past the hard times and plan for something great.  Good luck and God bless with it, I have some mighty prayer wariors on my side, and I firmly believe it was a great help.  Will be praying for you to have apostive outcome.

My wife has stage four colon and ovarian cancer, she went through surgery April of 07 and was not not expected to live more than one year, she is doing fine and just finished her cat scan last week and no cancer. Every one at our church says this was an act of God,and maybe so,but i also believe it had to do with other things like 3ln a product that was not allowed to be sold in the USA . It has now changed its name to Peak Immune 4 which is sold on the web sight.I am not a doctor so i am not  telling you that this is what you need, but i know it helped us.If you should have any questions please fee to contact us at savalkyrie@hotmail or 210-492-3605 Shawn and Jo. My Mother was told she would be lucky to live three more months. (That was in 1994) She totally kicked cancer's A$$. Like they say at the Cancer Institute,"There's never been a cancer that someone hasn't beaten." STAY POSITIVE AND BEST WISHES!

with all due respect, please take the time to read some of the articles and God Bless u in your decision.

www.drday.com
Dr. Lorraine Day reversed her severe, advanced cancer by rebuilding her immune system by natural therapies, so her body could heal itself.

Dr. Day is an internationally acclaimed orthopedic trauma surgeon and best selling author who was for 15 years on the faculty of the University of California, San Francisco, School of Medicine as Associate Professor and Vice Chairman of the Department of Orthopedics. She was also Chief of Orthopedic Surgery at San Francisco General Hospital and is recognized world-wide as an AIDS expert.
http://www.drday.com/tumor.htm
As a physician who developed cancer herself, Dr. Lorraine Day was well aware that physicians are more afraid of cancer than patients are, because doctors KNOW that chemotherapy, radiation and surgery are NOT the answer to cancer.

http://www.naturalnews.com/023689.html
"Most cancer patients in this country die of chemotherapy... Chemotherapy does not eliminate breast, colon or lung cancers. This fact has been documented for over a decade. Yet doctors still use chemotherapy for these tumors... Women with breast cancer are likely to die faster with chemo than without it." - Alan Levin, M.D.

An investigation by the Department of Radiation Oncology, Northern Sydney Cancer Centre, Australia, into the contribution of chemotherapy to 5-year survival in 22 major adult malignancies, showed startling results: The overall contribution of curative and adjuvant cytotoxic chemotherapy to 5-year survival in adults was estimated to be 2.3% in Australia and 2.1% in the USA." [Royal North Shore Hospital Clin Oncol (R Coll Radiol) 2005 Jun;17(4):294.]

Thanks to all for all of the kind words, thoughts, and prayers.  Means alot.

I can assure you all, and anyone that knows me can tell you, that as far as I'm concerned this cancer is nothing more than a pain in the ass.  If I get well that will be great....if I don't....oh well....we've all got to go sometime.

Right now this sh*tty economy and missing this great ride are much more important to me than what's going on inside of me.

In fact, while I was driving home from work today I think I am going to go up and ride the Dragon and the rest of the usual suspects next weekend to drown my sorrows in motorcycle. cooldude

Seriously, I want you all to have a safe trip and come back with some great stories for me for the next ride.
