I know you all have been asked this many times before but I am going to have to ask it again.  I have a 2000 interstate it didn't have the CB just the stereo. A friend had a 2005 Yamaha with the CB his bike was totaled and I got the CB off it. It is a Clarion JC-215R will it work on my bike. If so what do I need to hook it up ? thanks for the help.

Depends on where you mount it. I installed mine in the rear of the battery box, cut out the divider and put it in there, had to extend the power cable about 4 inches. I am using a shorty fiberglass whip mounted on the side of the trunk, it works great.

A Yamaha guy bought my Tourer Clarion CB, and claimed to like it.

I think it was only the Yamaha CBs made at the same time as the Valk.....99-04......  I could be wrong, but I think the newer ones are different....

One of the 2 factory mounting points is under the trunck. The info is on the download page on Dag's web site.

The Yamaha 2005 CB will work also.  I just installed one on my 99 I/S and it works fine.  Used a new Goldwing GL1200 CB antenna and left side mount (both made by "AddOn".  I also installed in the battery box after removing the short divider.  I lengthened the power cable about 12 inches to provide some slack.  It plugged right in and all handlebar controls work.

Good luck with your installation.
